Community Guidelines
Effective date: September 11, 2026
P139-14 exists to help people across every stage of life feel known, valued, supported, and safe. We center dignity, voice, privacy, consent, access, faith, wellbeing, and age-appropriate safeguarding for people with disabilities or learning differences.
P139-14 is operated by P139-14 LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company.
The public website is informational and non-transactional. Live community registration, profile creation, and member access are not yet open. P139-14’s intended model keeps basic membership, profiles, community participation, and networking free while programs and resources may be offered separately through paid access. We publish these guidelines so visitors, potential collaborators, and future participants can understand the standards we are building around.
These guidelines apply to direct interactions with P139-14 and to participation in any P139-14 community space, conversation, event, class, or program if and when access is specifically offered. Additional rules may apply to a future activity and will be provided before participation.
1. Honor dignity, voice, and autonomy
Speak to adults as adults. Do not demean, shame, mock, infantilize, stereotype, patronize, or reduce anyone to a diagnosis, disability, support need, or perceived limitation.
Adults with disabilities retain dignity, privacy, choice, preferences, relationships, boundaries, and the right to be heard. A family member, caregiver, supporter, or professional should not speak over an adult or share that adult's information without appropriate permission or legal authority.
Children and teens must be treated with age-appropriate respect and protections. Their participation must use appropriate parent or guardian involvement, privacy, consent or assent, and moderation without collecting or exposing unnecessary personal information.
2. Communicate with kindness and respect
Disagreement is allowed; cruelty is not. Harassment, threats, bullying, intimidation, hate speech, discriminatory conduct, sexual harassment, degrading language, and repeated unwanted contact are not acceptable.
Challenge ideas without attacking people. Do not shame someone for the way they communicate, learn, move, process information, practice faith, receive support, or express a disability-related need.
3. Protect privacy
Share only information, images, recordings, documents, and stories that you have the right and permission to share.
Do not disclose another person's medical, educational, financial, family, relationship, location, contact, account, or identifying information without clear authority and consent. Do not copy, screenshot, record, forward, publish, or distribute private community content outside its intended setting without permission.
Never post passwords, financial credentials, government identification numbers, medical records, or other highly sensitive information.
4. Prevent exploitation, fraud, and unsafe requests
Do not groom, manipulate, deceive, pressure, isolate, exploit, or take financial, sexual, emotional, spiritual, professional, or social advantage of another person.
Do not ask another participant for money, gift cards, banking information, passwords, intimate images, secret communications, transportation, housing, employment, medical decisions, signatures, or access to private accounts. Do not present a scam, investment, fundraising request, romantic approach, or business opportunity as a P139-14 activity.
If a request feels unsafe, stop the interaction and report the concern to safety@p139-14.org.
5. Respect boundaries and consent
Consent must be informed, freely given, specific, and able to be withdrawn. Respect no, stop, silence, a declined invitation, and a request for space.
Do not pressure anyone to move a conversation to private messaging, disclose personal information, meet in person, participate on camera, pray aloud, share a testimony, make a purchase, or continue an interaction. Do not assume that a caregiver's or supporter's preference replaces an adult's own choice unless that person has appropriate legal authority.
6. Practice faith responsibly
P139-14 is faith-rooted in Psalm 139:14 and the belief that every person is fearfully and wonderfully made. Scripture, prayer, testimony, and Christian encouragement must be shared with humility and respect—not through pressure, fear, shame, manipulation, condemnation, diagnosis, or a promise of healing.
Do not claim that disability, illness, trauma, or hardship reflects a person's lack of faith. Do not pressure anyone to disclose beliefs or participate in a faith activity. Spiritual encouragement must not replace qualified medical, mental-health, therapeutic, legal, safeguarding, crisis, or emergency support.
7. Be honest about expertise and advice
Do not misrepresent credentials, authority, affiliation, experience, results, or professional status. Clearly distinguish personal experience and general information from professional advice.
P139-14 community interactions are not a substitute for individualized medical, mental-health, therapeutic, legal, financial, educational, safeguarding, crisis, or emergency advice. Do not diagnose another person, prescribe treatment, promise an outcome, or direct someone to stop professional care.
8. Do not solicit, recruit, promote, research, or collect data without permission
Do not use P139-14 to advertise, sell, fundraise, recruit, conduct research, gather member information, promote an outside group, collect testimonials, or invite participants into another program without prior written authorization.
Potential collaborators may contact partners@p139-14.org. An inquiry does not create a partnership, endorsement, volunteer role, facilitator role, sponsorship, or permission to contact community participants.
9. Communicate accessibly
Make a reasonable effort to communicate clearly and include others. Use descriptive link text, explain unfamiliar abbreviations, organize longer messages, and provide text descriptions for meaningful images when practical. If sharing video or audio in an approved future space, use captions or a transcript when reasonably available.
Do not ridicule access needs, communication differences, processing time, assistive technology, interpreters, support persons, or requests for clarification. Report a public website barrier to accessibility@p139-14.org.
10. Reporting, review, and community access
Report a suspected safety, privacy, exploitation, harassment, or safeguarding concern to:

Include only the information reasonably necessary to describe the concern. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, government identification numbers, or unnecessary medical records.
Reports will be reviewed in light of the available information. Where a P139-14 participatory service is active, a concern may result in a request for more information, a reminder of expectations, limits on interaction, removal of content, restriction or ending of access, referral to a platform provider, or another response appropriate to the circumstances. No particular outcome or response time is guaranteed.
P139-14 may preserve information or contact an appropriate person or authority when required by law or when reasonably necessary to address a serious safety concern. These guidelines do not create a promise of continuous monitoring, investigation, confidentiality, or emergency intervention.
Emergency limitation
P139-14 is not an emergency, crisis, law-enforcement, adult-protective-services, child-protective-services, medical, or mental-health response service. Email and community messages are not monitored continuously.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact 911 or the appropriate local emergency service. If abuse, neglect, or exploitation is suspected, contact the appropriate qualified local authority in addition to notifying P139-14 when relevant.
Changes to these guidelines
These guidelines may be updated as P139-14's services and safety practices develop. The effective date will be revised when a material change is published.
